Dr. Melanie Newman is a native of Miami, Florida and a graduate of the Dade County Public Schools. Dr. Newman attended and graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her post–graduate and professional studies commenced at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland where she was awarded her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Following her graduation from Dental School, Dr. Newman entered private practice in New York City.

Jackie has been a part of the Fountainhead Dentistry team for over 30 years! She is beloved by all of our patients and her kindness and empathy have helped to shape the values of our practice over the years.

Jackie graduated from Allegany Community College in 1993 as a Registered Dental Hygienist and began working at the practice that same year. She loves working with children and special needs patients. Jackie feels blessed spending her workdays with caring coworkers and amazing patients. Her free time is devoted to her loving family.

Sharon was born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland. She moved to Washington County and has been part of the Fountainhead Dentistry team for twelve years! Sharon graduated from the Medix School for Qualified Dental Assisting program 1981 and received her radiology certification from Montgomery College, Takoma Park. She has worked as a Dental Assistant for 26 years – she spent 8 years working in Adult Dentistry and 18 years working in Pediatric Dentistry.

Sharon is dedicated to establishing positive and caring relationships with our patients, while also providing exceptional service and quality dental care. She says she loves assisting on the pediatric side with children and enjoys working with her coworkers because they are compassionate, caring, and hardworking.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time cooking with her husband, visiting her children and grandchildren, and going shopping with her mom.

Angi has been a Dental Assistant for 27 years, over 20 of which have been at Fountainhead Dentistry! Her training began at Hagerstown Community College, after which she became DANB certified and has since acquired numerous other certifications. While Pediatrics is her speciality of choice, she also has experience working in Oral Surgery, Adult, and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Often children are afraid of the dentist, and Angi always takes extra time to communicate with them and make them feel better with her funny conversation, finding a good TV show to distract them, or comforting them by playing with stuffed animals. Angi says that the most rewarding part of her job is having a child return for a second visit excited and with a smile on their face. Then she knows she has made a positive impact on their life. Angi is a mother of two, and credits a lot of her communication abilities and patience to her experience in parenting.

In her spare time she enjoys playing board games with her family and attending Victory Baptist Church. She also makes sure she spends as much time as she can with her grandbabies!
